The Father

Description

So... a muse. Really, are ya that surprised? This is the male half of the first, the father, whose name is lost really. His wife is over precious gems, he is over metal. Together the pair was called upon to help create a city for tehir gods, a task readily accepted. However, one should be aware that there was a small hitch: the more Father used his abilities, the more he lost his fur and became metal.

They created a beautiful city, just the same... but in the end, Father was to loose his life. His wife stood by him, telling him wherever he was ehading, she would as well. She would never leave hi. Thusly the two became a statue, which is said to still reside in that city of the gods. It is also said that one could revive them with the right magic, but to do so the muses would consider a blasphemy.

See, the muses, their greatest honor is to give themselves up for what they believe in, their mindsets a slight different than most.

A bit upon his metals: green = adamantium, blue = myhthril, purple = unknown substance native to his lands.

Awww. Poor fella! That must stink, to have to sacrifice your life in order to construct something big like that. Yet in the end it's a classic tale of love, of giving yourself in the hopes of aiding others. There is no death as honorable as that! I must admit that that idea is one of the best I've ever heard here on dA: of the muses and their profound connection to aiding others. Oooh. If only muses were present in our world, surely we'd be so much better off... :)

Father here really is a lovely muse, his design is truly fit for a king. He has a simplistic design like all the other muses yet retains some kingly qualities... the gold plates running down his spine, the ornamental additions on his feet and face. Undoubtedly he stands out in a crowd. Good work on this, Sirius!

I have one question for you, and that's about the city of the gods. Where might this city be located? Is it a sort of inaccessible realm, something heavenly or hidden within the earth? If it houses the once-bodies of the two creation muses then surely it'd be a tough place to track down!
